Changing Circumstances

Things have changed significantly over the past year.

As the number of cases of COVID-19 (the disease caused by Coronavirus) continues to escalate in our country, the responses from government and health officials continue to become more severe, and rightly so – the protection of our elderly and health-compromised citizens is our highest priority.

What We’re Doing

Carolina Health Care, an in-home care company serving families in South Carolina for over 30 years, is taking extreme efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. Currently, our professional caregivers have been instructed to observe the following measures.

  • Practice basic health precautions (handwashing, sanitizing, cough and sneeze control, etc.)
  • Submit to a daily health verification before working with a client
  • Complete a mandatory training module on COVID-19
  • Isolate if symptoms of sickness are present and seek medical care
  • Practice Social Distancing (6 ft)
  • Avoid large gatherings of people
  • Restrict unnecessary public outings

We are all very concerned about the spread of the Coronavirus. Unfortunately, our measures of isolation can make a challenging life even more difficult for the elderly, the disabled, or the chronically ill.
